DACRYPHILIA PLAY:
the act of taking sexual pleasure from seeing a partner cry.  Dacryphilia is technically a paraphilia term to mean an unhealthy sexual disorder.  In BDSM, a healthy version of dacryphilia is called dacryphilia play or having a tear fetish (uncommon terminology).  In BDSM, the term dacryphilia, without the descriptor word "play," is sometimes used erroneously to mean a healthy fetish.  Any play involving taking pleasure from seeing another person cry, should only be considered consensual play, if the person crying is also receiving some level of pleasure from the experience.  The term dacryphilia is sometimes used to mean a form of humiliation play, in which the submissive is aware that the dominant is taking pleasure from her/his distress, in a play context.  It should also be noted that the term dacryphilia is sometimes used to mean a person who takes pleasure from seeing a person cry as a cathartic expression (tears of joy), during an intense BDSM play session.

See related PARAPHILIA.

DEMISEXUAL:
a person who feels that they must have an emotional connection with a partner in order to be sexually attracted to them.  A person who only has sexual relations with a person that they have an emotional connection with.  In today's kink realm, it has become more common for people to disconnect themselves from any sort of emotional connection when having sex, therefore some use the term demisexual to distinguish themselves as people that choose a more traditional approach towards sex, striving to have a sentimental bond with their sex partners.

See related OBJECTIFICATION and FEMINIZATION.

DO-ME QUEEN:
a derogatory term to describe a submissive that is primarily concerned with self-gratification rather than serving the desires of the dominant.  Someone who is more intent on receiving attention than giving it.  The term can be confusing because the submissive is supposed to be the receiver in many BDSM activities, plus there is the belief that the submissive should only serve another person if it in return serves her.  That being said, the term do-me queen usually refers to a selfish or self-centered submissive whom only cares for her needs while ignoring the commands or needs of the dominant in the exchange.  A do-me queen is a brat (B.R.A.T.) or unruly sub.

a dominant, most often female.  Often used as a title of a pro-domme.

DOMME:
a female dominant.  It is mostly used as the title of a person engaging in or wishing to engage in an act where she takes on the role of the dominant.  Today, more and more people are using the spelling of the term dom to represent both the male and female dominant role, leaving the spelling domme to represent a professional, female dominatrix only.

DOOR HANGER:
a bondage device made up of a strap consisting of a ring on one side and a piece of metal or dowel on the other.  When the strap is placed on top of a door and the door is then closed, a ring will hang on one side in one room, while the metal or wooden piece hangs on the other.  The piece cannot pass through the space between the door and the doorjamb, hence allowing a person to be securely bound to the ring.

DOUBLE PENETRATION:

DOUBLE WEAVE:   see FLORENTINE.

DOXING or DOXXING:
is an Internet term for the practice of cyber stalking with the intent to bring about harassment or harm to an individual, company, or organization, by exposing personal or identifying information to the public.  The way in which the term is used in the BDSM community is the practice of Internet stalking for the purposes of exposing a person's interest or involvement in BDSM to family members or employers to harm the reputation of the person.  Some doxing practices are illegal in many states.

DYKE also BULLDYKE:
a derogatory, offensive term for a lesbian often used by bigots.  The term is increasingly being used in a non-derogatory way to define a lesbian with masculine traits.  In some BDSM circles, the term dyke is an honorable title, and that is why the term is mentioned here.
