a rope harness tied around the torso in a series of diamond-shaped patterns. A karada does not restrain the person but creates ideal anchor points for restraint, forming a component of shibari (Japanese bondage).

puppy play in which a person is confined to a kennel or doghouse, or locked outside in a yard.

KNEE PILLORY (DOGGY STYLE PILLORY):
a low pillory set on a short frame designed to restrain a person in a kneeling position. It also refers to a portable device that restrains a person's wrists near their ankles while kneeling, or to a spreader bar equipped with cuffs for both the wrists and ankles.



KNIFE PLAY:
any activity or play involving a knife. It is usually done for psychological effect or edgeplay demonstration, such as evoking fear in a submissive, but can also involve cutting the skin or scarring. All knife play carries inherent risk, and accidental injuries or fatalities during these activities have resulted in severe criminal charges, including manslaughter.



KNOUT:
a whip with multiple leather or cord lashes, historically including twisted wire or knots to cause extra pain. The term is also sometimes used casually to describe a cat-o'-nine-tails.



KOOSH FLOGGER:
also known as the dreaded Koosh flogger, a flogger made with the same type of rubber strings used in the Hasbro children's toy called a Koosh ball. The rubber strands on the flogger are much longer than those on the toy and deliver a distinct, pinpointed sting that is often considered far more painful than traditional floggers.
